“Prior to launching Potential Matters, my career as a communications
executive allowed me to work on a broad range of communication
and business initiatives from internal change management and
communication programs to complex public-facing crises,” Jodie
explains. “I’ve experienced first-hand the barriers
that companies and individuals face in dealing with change in
corporate settings. I’ve observed the pain points that
executives face when business intersects with complex human dynamics.
I’ve worked on enough downsizing or outsourcing initiatives
to know that every professional needs to be prepared for corporate
change at all times. And I’ve seen the results for those
who do it well, and the consequences for those who don’t.
Coaching is a vital service for professionals who want to navigate
and survive the natural dysfunction that is business today.”
Jodie’s credentials include a B.A. in International Studies
from Emory University, and a Master of Science in Professional
Counseling from Georgia State University. She holds numerous
professional certifications, including National Counselor Certification
(NCC) from the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)
as well as primary and advanced certifications in Rational Emotive
Behavior Therapy from the Albert Ellis Institute in New York
City. Jodie is also a certified mediator.
